SNIA Announces Member Lifetime Achievement Awards

Santa Clara, CA., September 18, 2024 - SNIA, the global expert and trusted authority for technologies related to handling and optimizing data, today announced Lifetime Achievement Awards for three of its long-time members: Wayne Adams, PK Gupta, and Kenichi Wada. The awards were announced last night at an award ceremony at SNIA Developer Conference (SDC) at the Hyatt Recency Santa Clara.

The Lifetime Achievement Awards recognize SNIA members who have tirelessly dedicated years of work to help achieve SNIA’s goals as a leading industry association and developer of industry standards and specifications.

"The name of this award is truly fitting," said Dr. J Metz, Chair of the SNIA Board of Directors. "These members have exceeded all expectations, dedicating countless hours over decades to advancing storage technologies generally, and SNIA initiatives in particular." 

2024 Lifetime Achievement Award Honorees are:

• Wayne Adams – Long-time SNIA Chair, Treasurer, and Chair Emeritus
• PK Gupta – One of the founding members of SNIA India and SNIA South Asia/Malaysia
• Kenichi Wada – Former SNIA Japan Executive Director

The SNIA Lifetime Achievement Awards join the SNIA Hall of Fame and annual Member Recognition Honors as a way to thank and acknowledge the incredible work of SNIA’s members.
