Niranjan Pendharkar, Nutanix

Niranjan currently works as a Sr. Staff Engineer at Nutanix Inc. Prior to that, he was Distinguished Engineer, VERITAS Technologies LLC. Niranjan has over 21 years of experience in Storage Management, Storage Virtualization, Distributed Systems, HyperConverged Storage. Niranjan has contributed to industry leading storage products in an architect role. His current areas of interest include HyperConverged systems, Disaster Recovery, Hybrid Clouds and Software defined storage.  Niranjan holds more than 50 US patents and has received Zinnov Technical Role model award.

B K GirishKumar, NetApp

Girish Kumar B K is currently working as senior engineer at NetApp India Pvt. Ltd.  He is part of Advanced Technology Group under CSO office and is focused on evaluating technological disruptions in storage industry involving low latency storage and impact on storage applications, in-memory database, storage class memory programming models, scalable computing in SaaS, edge computing in IoT and resource optimization in containerized hosting. Girish comes with 20+ years of storage software development experience, holds 6 patents in storage domain and has published several technology evaluation papers.  He is an active technical mentor for startups under NetApp Excellerator program. Prakash Venkat, Dell Technologies

Prakash Venkat is a Distinguished Engineer at Dell Technologies with an experience of over 25 years in the areas related to storage and system software. Prakash is one of the lead architects of the Midrange Storage BU within DellEMC and has been with Dell/DellEMC family for more than 15 years. 

He has played multiple roles in the entire software lifecycle development, from ideation to design and implementation to post-delivery improvements, including a stint in management. He has over 15 USPO patents and almost all of them have been in practical features, which have delivered value to customers.

His early career was shaped working in USA for almost a decade, before returning to Bangalore, where he had initially started his career with Wipro Global R&D after his Engineering in Computer Science. 

He considers himself to be privileged to have been a part of few exciting 1.0 products and has hands-on experience in multiple technology areas including SVR4 based UNIX kernel (Virtual Memory, Filesystems and Real-time Scheduling), SCSI, FC/iSCSI protocols, multi-pathing from the host perspective and across various layers in the array storage stack (Front end Protocols, Replication, Migrations, NAS among others). He is an active member in the technical leadership of Dell Storage/DellEMC India, a regular jury member of the hackathon events, key-note speaker at various tech-events among other things.

Currently, Prakash is focused on various aspects of Data Mobility and ease of customer adoption to newer technologies and here are a couple of highlights: 

·       Lead architect for delivering the import feature to the next-gen Midrange product, which is an industry unique, patent awarded solution to seamlessly migrate users from legacy systems. 

·       Designing a set of innovative solutions to help customers with NVMe adoption.

·       Leading a set of data mobility offload solutions across the DellEMC storage portfolio.

Anindya Banerjee, Veritas

Anindya Banerjee joined Veritas almost 18 years back immediately after completing his masters’ degree in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Since then he has been involved with various storage products, including file systems, backup and archival solutions, storage management solutions, storage virtualization, and hyperconverged storage. As part of Symantec, he was also exposed to security and data loss prevention solutions. He is currently working as a Technical Director and Architect for scale out purpose build storage solutions for backup and long term retention. He is also interested in complexities of distributed system and control plane to manage such distributed systems. Anindya has more than 30 patents issued by USPTO in his name.
